First Annual Johnson *Family* Christmas! (and more)

I'm not going to even try to write about what our First Christmas was like with Chloe. All I can say is that it was so special, entertaining and exciting. Everything is so much more fun when you see it through a child's eyes.

We are completely wiped out and had such a great time catching up with everyone...we even got to see Chris's side of the family! Of course we failed to take a big group picture (I am sorry!) We hope to see you soon!

A huge thank you to everyone for Chloe's fabulous Christmas presents... she sure does love them! (So does her mommy who can't wait to play with them/put her in them!) But seriously. She got a tot-sized kitchen (with 8 million little pieces - anyone want to help Chris put it together?), LOTS of great books, some adorable clothes, a gorgeous silver cup and SO much more. Chris and I also want to thank everyone for spoiling us as well!

I know everyone comes here just here for pictures (and there are a LOT), so in reverse order is our trip down to So-Cal:

1. Chloe's first aquarium trip (Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach)...December 26th. SO fun, she loved looking at all of the animals in the tanks!

2. Christmas Night Dinner at (great) Uncle Roger and Aunt Suzy's house (and Trent and Paige - woot woot). A huge shout out to Uncle Roy for an unreal Italian pasta smorgasbord! It was so amazing. Thank you for taking us in!

3. Her very first Christmas Morning:

4. Christmas Eve:

Christmas eve was spent at my sisters fabulous abode - we had feast of the seven fishes (click here for info). It was amazing as always. I made fishie cookies to go along with the feast. They were fun to make - although I would be alright if I never saw another fish cookie I think! :)
Thank you to the Larocca Family also for taking us in - I know we come with a lot of great baggage (but we also come with stinky diapers)... so we really appreciate your hospitality!

The.Bestest.Present.

You Heard Me! I said Bestest.
This year, we were blessed with the best present of all. No offense, folks... but seriously. This trumps any present you might be giving or receiving...

Unfortunately, this gift is one of a kind and you won't be able to get it from us for any amount of money - although if you bribe us with a full nights sleep, we might take you up on it for a night! :)

That being said, I have to refer to my last post which was about her fabulous sleep habits at 3 months.
About that...
Yeah.
Go ahead and Scratch that.
We might as well delete that post.

Literally that night, she woke up every.single.hour. ... I thought it was just a bad night.
Turns out it wasn't.
The night after that, she woke up every.single. HALF. hour.
Yes.
Half hour.
Needless to say, she's slightly better, but she's up at 1 am every night and doesn't really go back to bed until I give in, feed her and re-insert the pacifier for a good 45 minutes.
What happened to my great sleeper?!
Please come back, dear!!
Please tell me this is normal and she'll get over it?

But seriously, look at this face: how could you be mad. Oh yeah, and when she gets up at night, all she wants to do is laugh and smile at you. So hard not to get up and play with her!

Showing off her dress-eating skills for the camera! What a ham.

And Yes. The stripy thing in the bottom left corner is her errant sock-covered foot making an appearance.

Sorry in advance for all the drool!

3 month cont'd

If you haven't seen the post from this morning already... feel free to scroll down...

However, here are her 3 month pictures with Lulu the Lamb ;)

And For Comparison Purposes:
At Birth:
1 Month Old:

She seriously digs being swaddled :)

Can you tell she's a serious wiggle-worm? Every picture has some big blurry section from her moving constantly!
It's so amazing how much she's grown!!

3 Months..

What a bad mommy I would be if I didn't blog on her 3 month birthday! This birthday is harder to take than her 2 month one.... probably because it means we're 25% of the way through a year... Yikes. I know every post I say that it's flying by... but it really is... She's so amazingly fun, however. Every morning when I get her out of her crib, I almost have to pinch myself! I'm not sure how I got so lucky but I just am! :)

The Boring Part:
I want to write out Chloe's schedule at 3 months so I can always remember!
Let's see... at 3 months, Chloe's schedule is looking something like this:
Between 4 and 5 am, she wakes herself up but pretty easily goes back down with either just putting back her paci or rocking her for a few minutes (which I sure don't mind!)...Some nights are better than others, of course...
Around 6:40-7:00 Chloe gets up for the day... Big smile and all!
7:00 Bottle # 1 - 6 oz

Between 8 and 8:30 is her first nap... Usually about 1 hour

Between 9:30 and 10:00 is her second nap... also about an hour
11:15 Bottle # 2 - 6 oz
We usually get out and enjoy the day after her bottle... sometimes she'll nap on the go, sometimes she's just having too much fun!
This is where her napping goes a little haywire, we take it day to day, but she usually gets a good 2-3 hour nap at some point in the afternoon.
Like clockwork, her 3rd bottle is around 4:30 pm.
Then, it's play time! She helps me cook, she talks to her toys, she stares at the Christmas tree, she gives googly eyes at her daddy... she also catnaps in my arms for about 30 minutes...
Somewhere around 7:30 I give her a bath, massage, read her Goodnight Moon and give her ...
Bottle # 4... 8 oz.
She's in bed NO later than 8:30...
... you just swaddle her... give her her paci... and she's out like a light .... before you can turn off the light!
Phew. If you made it that far, Kudos to you! I just want to make sure I don't forget anything as she grows up... so since my mind stinks... at least I'll have it written!
She giggles a little now, Still loves her baths (but likes splashing just as much!), she got her first ride in her actual stroller yesterday and LOVED it...
...she loves cracking up and hasn't figured out the actual laugh and ends up sucking in air. Hilarious... She likes anything that moves, even typing as I'm finding out right now...
Ok. The Fun Part: On to the pictures:
(yes, you CAN hear the freeway in this video. Lucky you.)
